On the front panel there will be eight toggle switches and twelve LEDs. The toggle switches will control all the lighting inside the case.
In the pictures you see that there are ten toggle switches. In the end I only used eight of them and the side ones are now replaced with LEDs that will be the activity LEDs for the hard drives.
The holes for the toggle switches and LEDs were already on my drawings and were laser-cut. For the LEDs I wanted to use small LED holders, but they wouldn\'t fit in the holes. With an 8mm bit I tried to make the holes bigger. This seemed easier said then done. The material is so hard it broke THREE drillbits - the best way to drill a hole in Stainless Steel seemed to be very, very slowly.
Removing a little bit of the plastic foil that is covering the Stainless Steel.
After installing all the LEDs and switches the front looks a bit like this.
